India has 22 official languages. According to Census of India, the total number of mother tongues spoken in India is 1652. However, only around 150 languages have a sizable speaking population.

The Indian census of 1961 recognised 1,652 different languages in India (including languages not native to the subcontinent)

New Model School - Chaunda's one more initiative in the region , where our students have full access to school's dedicated Language Lab. We emphasis that every student should have proficiency in three languages in the country i.e. Punjabi , English & Hindi. We also motivate students to learn other languages like French , Spanish , Russian etc because there are many opportunities available where companies hire language translators these days. The fully loaded Language Lab is available for students in the school.
